Article Analysis Assessment #3 The article chosen for this week appeared in the New York Times by Edward Wong, named, “Americans Demand a Rethinking of the ‘Forever War’”. The given article is an appropriate instance of the need felt among the Americans at large for the Government to restrain and put an end to its never-ending conflict with Afghanistan, Iraq and some of the lesser known countries since the time of the 9/11. The conflict has been historically justified as the war on terror and being fought with the objective of freeing the world of negative elements; however, the reason soon became a euphemistic expression for justifying the presence of American troops in these regions as well as the war with those countries.
